Peret, 74 years old, release his last disc "De los cobardes nunca se ha escrito nada". The most audacious if his career, he offers a music that has affected him when he was beginning to sing. Peret rebuilds his roots and adapt them to the "rumbero" style, to the "cuplé", the tango, the "Rascayú" of Bonet de San Pedro, the copla and the Caribbean music.
"El muerto vivo" is the first single of this new disc, he shares the micro with Marina, the singer of Ojos de Brujo. Peret adapt "El muerto vivo" in 1966, this song has been scored by the Colombian orchestra conductor Guillermo Gonzalez Arenas and recorded by teh Cuban Rolando Laserie, a prodigious singer. He shared his popularity and shows with the unforgettable Benny Moré in the 50s. Laserie left Cuba with Bebo Valdés, in 1960. "El muerto vivo" is an eternal song.
"De los cobardes nunca se ha escrito nada" will be launched this Autumn, including a documentary DVD with a show selection of Peret on TVE, including 15 complete songs.
